Sunny and warm. Dean trimmed the grass around plots. Neighborhood kids playing soccer in the field got their ball in the garden. An elderly Chinese gentleman strolled around the garden. Lily and I cleaned up our plot, watered the community plot and played some Frisbee. Two fellow gardeners were arriving as we were leaving.

Sunny and hot. Not many on the park today. Helped Angela, Dan, and Lew level the ground for the shed foundation. We picked up the shed from Windsor Plywood and stacked it in the fenced area. We will need a team of volunteers to help put it together sometime next week.

The garden is looking fantastic. I am looking forward to the CommuniTEA garden open house tomorrow. Great job Lorrie and Melissa on organizing this. Lily and Katie did a great job on the garden sign. Now that we have the shed we will need some volunteers to help put it together. I'm sure we will all appreciate having room to store tools.

Thursday @ 7:30pm, September 17, 2010. Lily and I picked the last vegies and cleaned out the plant material in our plot ahead of the frost. We are excited to pickle some of our beats, make salad and winter squash casserole. I stapled down the tar paper on the shed but didn't have time to do more. I didn't see anyone sleeping in the park, it might be getting too cold.
